Its an Operating System created by Mandriva. The latest version is Mandriva Linux 2009. Its a different option than Windows XP or Vista or Mac. Mandriva is a different flavor of linuxs and you can download an iso version of it or downland the exe file. It has had alot of different names from the earliest "Venice" to "Bluebird" in 2002 to what it is called today simply Mandriva. The newest version was released in October 2008. It comes with a package Manger that installs packages that your computer needs.
