Vixta is a Linux distribution of Vista. Vixta was made for Linux users who like a Vista feel to there desktop. Vixta is a Fedora-based distro with a custom KDE-based interface. Vixta is also a free Linux operating system. Vixta was made with a very similar desktop to Vista with widgets and a Vista like task bar and menu. Vixta inculdes FireFox 2.0.0.6 and OpenOffice.org 2.3.0. Vixta is pretty much the Linux version of Vista. If you have Linux and are looking for a new flavor and like Vista, Vixta would be a good choice.

I like the look of vista and I would try Vixta becuase Vista needs alot of ram to operate and it has some bugs and driver issues. I think this is a good alternative to windows.

I noticed that that vixta is the same as vista and provides the same apps as vista which is good. Also it firefox and open office which makes me want it. Everything about vixta is great. This would be a good alternative. I would get this if i had the money. WAIT it is free so that means i will get it.
