This article goes goes indepth about how a USB works, what USB 2.0 provides and the many features USB has to offer. The Universal Serial Bus (USB Port) provides a single, standardized way to connect up to 127 devices to a computer. Some commenly used USB devices are printers, scanners, webcams, and speakers. There are two common types of USB connectors, A and B. Both are used for a wide range of devices. A USB hub provides additional USB ports that can be connected to your computer. When your computer powers up, the processor queries all of the devices connected to the USB bus and assigns each one an address. This process is called enumeration. USB provides many benifts, which is why it is currently the most used peripheral device port.
