First of all HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface. HDMI is used to transport uncompressed digital streams and its digital not analog. HDMI travels at 340 MHz and can support a TV or PC on a single cable. The first HDMI was created on December 9 2002. HDMI can be used for audio, device-controlling devices and video. HDMI also is used for Blu-ray in fact it is the only cable that Blu-ray discs use.
