The RJ-45 is known as a standard network cable. The RJ-45 or Ethernet cable is used for network and telephone cabling. The "RJ" in RJ-45 stands for registered jack. The RJ-45 has 8 pins which it connects to the cable interface electrically. The RJ-11 is usually confused with the RJ-11(a telephone cable) which is much narrower. The RJ-45 has pinouts that define the arrangement of wires.

Quiz:

1.What are they commonly seen with?
2.How many pins do they feature?
3.What do the pinouts define?
4.What does RJ stand for?
5.What is it commonly confused with?
