Hackers Analysis

The two different views presented about hackers in the movies was that either hackers are good or hackers are bad.I think both of the movies were shown to compare the difference between how the mainstream media portrays hackers and who hackers are really are. The mainstream media uses scare tactics to get its ratings up so shows like the 60 minutes display false information just for ratings. The movie that talked about the conventions and the real lives of hackers is the movie that I think portrayed them realistically. I think there are two different views because one movie concentrates on the reality of being a "hacker" while the other movie is concentrating on scaring its viewers and high ratings.
