Using an operating system on a flash drive is an advantage than using it on a CD/DVD because flash drives run faster, but it could be a waste of a flash drive if you have a big operating system. If you use an operating system on a cd drive its slower than a flash drive and you cant save anything on it because there would be barely any room even if it was dvd+r.
